Coast Road

Two weeks following one stretch of shoreline — weather, fishermen and the grey hour before dawn.

Featured series

Harvest, Slow

Shot over three seasons on a single farm in the valley, this commission for a quarterly food magazine traded the studio for whatever light the day gave us. The result is a portrait of work — hands, weather, the long table where the season finally lands.

Statement

A small studio led by Mara Okafor, working between the coast and the city since 2014.

We photograph for stillness, not spectacle — the held breath, the ordinary made strange by good light. A picture should reward a second look, and a tenth.

We shoot portrait, editorial and commercial work, but the approach is the same everywhere: slow, deliberate, on whatever light the day offers. We’d rather make twenty pictures we believe in than two hundred we don’t.
