About

Our studio

A small studio built on one idea — make fewer things, from better materials, and make them to be kept.

Dwell began in a single workshop with a handful of patterns and a stubborn belief that a home should be furnished slowly. Today we design a tight collection of furniture and home goods, made in two family workshops we visit ourselves — and we still cut the first sample of everything by hand.

Made with care

We make fewer things, from better materials, and we make them to be kept.

Honest materials

FSC-certified solid oak, undyed wool, natural linen and stone — chosen to age beautifully, take a repair, and return gently to the earth.

Made by hand

Cut, joined and oiled in two family workshops in Sweden and Portugal — paid a living wage and named on every product page.

Built to last

A ten-year guarantee, a free refinishing service, and spare parts kept on the shelf. Furniture you mend, not replace.

The living room

Built around the way you rest

Low oak frames, deep wool seats and a palette of stone and oat. Our seating is made to be sat in for years — and reupholstered, not replaced, when it has earned the right.

The dining room

A table that gathers a family

Solid oak, oiled by hand and built to take the marks of real life. Our tables arrive with a care kit and a standing offer to refinish the top, for free, whenever it needs it.

Loved at home

“The oak table is the heart of our house now. Five years in, it has a few honest marks and looks better than the day it arrived — which is exactly the point.”
