PLINTH — Architecture Studio
We build the pause.
An austere, material portfolio for an architecture and high-end construction studio, built in Astro. The home's centerpiece is a pinned horizontal-scroll gallery: as you scroll, a track of project plates travels sideways, each with an enormous serif name, a location and a procedural architectural drawing — elevation, plan, section, massing — all hand-drawn SVG. Eight full project case studies, a studio story and a journal complete a static-export site with a fully-visible reduced-motion fallback.

What makes it special
A portfolio that scrolls sideways
The signature moment is a pinned horizontal-scroll gallery — project plates travel across the viewport as you scroll vertically, with clip-path title wipes as each enters center. Under reduced motion it degrades to a clean vertical stack; nothing is ever hidden.
Drawings, not renders
Every project carries procedural architectural SVGs — elevations, plans, sections and isometric massing — generated from a seeded PRNG so each reads distinct. No photography, zero image weight, endlessly rethemeable.
Eight real case studies
A dynamic Astro route generates a full detail page for every project — brief, labelled drawings, materials and credits — so the whole portfolio is browsable, not a single hero with dead links.
A complete studio IA
Home, a filterable work index, eight project case studies, a studio story with partners and locations, a methodology page with a scroll-drawn section line, a four-essay journal, and a start-a-project flow.
Content-first and fast
Astro ships almost no JS; fonts are self-hosted via @fontsource, all URLs base-prefixed for any static host, WCAG 2.2 AA intent, and every animation gated behind prefers-reduced-motion. No runtime external requests.
